Coach Shamaine started her martial arts training in her early 20s. Back then, she was just looking for a fitness programme to keep herself active and healthy. By chance, she was introduced to U-Elite’s Self-Defence programme. Thinking that this is a great combination of exercising and learning self-defence skills to protect herself at the same time, she decided to give it a try. Ever since then, she never stopped and continued her learning journey into Kickboxing, Chanbara, Hapkido and Submission Grappling.
She is now the Kickboxing and Self-Defence coach with U-Elite as well as a Weight Management Coach.
CERTIFICATION
Coach John started his martial arts training at the young age of 10 in Freestyle Karate and since then, he has expanded his learning in various martial arts.
“I started to learn martial arts because I want to be fit and healthy and build the ability to protect my loved ones. Along the practice, I learnt to be disciplined and not only did I build fitness, I also learnt to understand my body and know how to take care of myself better from injuries and illnesses.”
Coach John won a silver medal in one Karate tournament during his teenage years. He is now a certified Kickboxing and Karate Instructor for over 14 years since 2008.
CERTIFICATION
Coach Roy is an avid sports fan. He has practised & represented in basketball, taekwondo, swimming and revolver shooting. He is also passionate about scuba diving and always organises dive trips together with his peers, away from the hectic city life.
“There was a period of time when I was unfit & unhealthy. Regaining a new found commitment and passion, I am now in my best share ever. Unknowingly, it has cultivated discipline & determination as well. I want to pass on this mindset and discipline to my students.”
CERTIFICATION
Coach Oliver started his martial arts training since his teenage days where he practised Wing Chun and San Da. He subsequently developed interest in sports massage. He is now a certified Personal Trainer, Weight Loss Specialist, Sports Massage Therapist and Post Rehabilitation Personal Trainer.
He specialises in post rehabilitation for painful conditions, such as injuries of the knee and lower back problems with sports massage and therapeutic exercise.
CERTIFICATION
Coach Kelvin started combat sports training since 2005 for self-defence. His love for combat sports have since manifested into a passionate life-long journey of learning. He strongly believes in transferring his knowledge to the next generation of enthusiastic youth and educating them the purpose of learning martial arts.
“I believe that martial arts is a way of life. It cultivates discipline and determination. It transforms aggression into something positive. In return, it enriches your personality and make you a better person. It is not about winning but instead, it is all about learning.”
