Coach Shamaine started her martial arts training in her early 20s. Back then, she was just looking for a fitness programme to keep herself active and healthy. By chance, she was introduced to U-Elite’s Self-Defence programme. Thinking that this is a great combination of exercising and learning self-defence skills to protect herself at the same time, she decided to give it a try. Ever since then, she never stopped and continued her learning journey into Kickboxing, Chanbara, Hapkido and Submission Grappling.
She is now the Kickboxing and Self-Defence coach with U-Elite as well as a Weight Management Coach.
CERTIFICATION
Coach John started his martial arts training at the young age of 10 in Freestyle Karate and since then, he has expanded his learning in various martial arts.
“I started to learn martial arts because I want to be fit and healthy and build the ability to protect my loved ones. Along the practice, I learnt to be disciplined and not only did I build fitness, I also learnt to understand my body and know how to take care of myself better from injuries and illnesses.”
Coach John won a silver medal in one Karate tournament during his teenage years. He is now a certified Kickboxing and Karate Instructor for over 14 years since 2008.
CERTIFICATION
Coach Jerald began his martial arts journey at 15 with Han Mu Do, attaining his black belt before advancing to Hapkido. He furthered his expertise by training directly under South Korean instructors and honed his skills in Krav Maga and Muay Thai, later teaching personnel from the Singapore Police Security Command and the S.T.A.R. Unit. He also served as an instructor for the Singapore Army Development Force in Aikido.
For the past 10 years, Jerald has assisted principal trainer Zac Ryotan Ng at U-Elite Martial Fitness, working with diverse corporate clients, airline crews, and hospital staff.
CERTIFICATION
Coach Oliver started his martial arts training since his teenage days where he practised Wing Chun and San Da. He subsequently developed interest in sports massage. He is now a certified Personal Trainer, Weight Loss Specialist, Sports Massage Therapist and Post Rehabilitation Personal Trainer.
He specialises in post rehabilitation for painful conditions, such as injuries of the knee and lower back problems with sports massage and therapeutic exercise.
